Soundproofing applications
Nobody searches for a product code. They search for the problem they have — a machine that is too loud, bass through a demising wall, a partition that was never built to keep sound out. These pages are organised by setting, name the grade that answers it, and are explicit about the cases where the material we sell is the wrong answer.
Every STC and transmission loss figure on this site is manufacturer data from the datasheet, reference BB830/20/v2, and every one of them is a laboratory value — field performance is normally 5 to 10 dB lower. The single exception is the BB830FR fire result, which is an independent third-party report and is described as one.
Soundproofing homes and condominiums
In a Thai home or condominium the party wall is usually not the loudest path — the bedroom door, the air-conditioning penetration and the ceiling void running over the wall normally are. Where the wall genuinely is the path, IAC Acoustics (Thailand) supplies BlastBlock BB830 mass loaded vinyl, nominally 5 kg/m² at about 3 mm, in whole 5 m² rolls.

Soundproofing pubs, bars and restaurants
Pubs, bars and restaurants carry two constraints at once: bass reaching the neighbours, and a fire requirement on a public building. BB830FR answers the second — independently tested to AS/NZS 1530.3:1999, SGS report AJFTS26000525R01_EN of 3 February 2026, indices 0/0/0/7, with none of six specimens igniting. BB830LF is formulated for the bass. Both are supplied in Thailand by IAC Acoustics (Thailand).

Soundproofing factories and machinery noise
Factory noise control starts at the machine, not at the building envelope. BlastBlock BB830 mass loaded vinyl, supplied in Thailand by IAC Acoustics (Thailand), is nominally 5 kg/m² at about 3 mm, so it lines an enclosure or a plant room without taking working space. Resonating steel panels need BlastVib BB460 damping instead: mass does not stop a panel ringing.

Soundproofing music rooms, and why bass is the hard part
Bass is the hardest noise to contain because mass is weakest at low frequency, and STC does not measure below 125 Hz at all. IAC Acoustics (Thailand) supplies BlastBlock BB830LF, formulated for low-frequency work, but the result comes from cavity depth, decoupling and mineral wool — the sheet is one component of a build-up, not the solution on its own.

Improving an existing wall, fence or enclosure without rebuilding it
Improving an existing barrier means adding mass and sealing it rather than rebuilding. BlastBlock BB830, supplied in Thailand by IAC Acoustics (Thailand), adds about 5 kg/m² at about 3 mm — decisive on a 20 kg/m² plasterboard partition, and a rounding error on a 300 kg/m² concrete wall. Weigh what you already have before ordering anything.
